Netflix and XBox part II - It's true!

Back in Feburary I caught wind of a possibility that XBox might be partnering with Netflix to allow streaming movies to the XBox.  Here's an update: They are.  It was officially announced at E3 a couple of days ago, along with some other pretty cool XBox enhancements.  The official announcement to the world is on XBox.com

I'm seriously stoked about this.  I've complained before how expensive XBox movie rentals were, this totally alleviates it.  This would really be great if it were available now, instead of this fall, since I'm stuck in a studio apartment 500 miles from my family with nothing much to do.  As usual, the timing kindof sucks, but whatever.  Welcome to the future of movie rentals.

  1. This is very cool. But then, I'm already kinda there...

I bought a new big ass tv recently that hooks up to my laptops with ease. I thought streaming onto it with NetFlix would look terrible, and I'm happy to report that it looks like really, real tv. It's amazing and super wonderful for someone like me who doesn't even have basic cable.

So is the Xbox streaming going to be in HD? That would be pretty awesome.

I'm going to get an Xbox 360 at some point, I'm sure.

As far as having nothing to do, where are all the long blog posts to reflect the additional time you have to compose and contemplate life?

    I'm just saying...

  2. f*cking blogger!

I had just got done writing a long, thought out response and freaking blogger lost it. There has got to be some kind of coding solution to that!

Okay, to recap the response that was lost and you never got to read:

You're right, I should be blogging more, but I'm depressed so I'm not. My writing sucks more than normal when I'm depressed and I hate everything I write.

I'm busier than I let on, this job is making me learn a lot of s*it (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong).

XBox rules, it's the one thing that's kept me sane up here.

Rory's extended absence worries me. I know what that kind of news can do to a guy.

Not necessarily in that order, but I think that covers it :)
