Zero Punctuation's Yahtzee just reviewed the new Turok release. It's one of the funniest thing's I've seen in a long time, and it's worth it just for the obscure Doom references that only old people like me get, because we wasted our youth on it. Hey... I'm still playing it...
That was awesome! ....and accurate, sadly. I kind of abandoned FPS a long time ago, and I don't really regret it. Advances have been made in RTS and TBS- first person shooters I feel have become vanilla, take themselves to seriously, and in haven't evolved much. Sure, yeah, give me flack for not being 'golly gee, HALO!'. But seriously, I just feel like I've played it before... a lot... only with much more jumping. Wow you jump around a lot in that game. If I could play any FPS right now (and had to), I'd probably play Duke Nukem A Time to Kill. :) Graphics- yeah whatever. Or maybe System Shock 2. When I was young I thought that games would be 200 times cooler than System Shock 2 by now, and instead... nope.
