That 1/5th of us is without is inexcusable. That even if you have health care doesn't mean you won't get financially screwed if something bad happens is a joke. Not a very funny one. I'm increasingly frustrated at the movement to kill reform. I suppose all reform movements experience fierce opposition, but this affects us all. For an american to oppose health care reform is as mind boggling as an african american opposing civil rights, or a homosexual opposing gay marriage.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad someone is listening, even if I am preaching to the choir. :D999https://www.blogger.com/profile/04293635142370193709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7273106680115390577.post-39822572481791496992009-08-13T10:03:04.660-05:002009-08-13T10:03:04.660-05:00One of the recent arguments I heard against having...One of the recent arguments I heard against having a national health care system was that my insurance (which is pretty good) would then suck.

As someone who's only had health insurance this past year change, that argument didn't even begin to stick.

I'm sick of people thinking that it's okay for all of the nation's young people, after they leave college or high school, to be without health insurance until they get the right kind of job to have it.

I was one of them, some of my friends still are, and I can only hope my little sister won't be once she graduates in a few years.

And they aren't the only ones without.

You're poor: you're not allowed health care. I just don't get how that makes sense to some people.- Cindy -https://www.blogger.com/profile/07710078886792426144noreply@blogger.com
